Laminated Acrylic and GemLeaf™ Letters

Unlike other metal-laminate sign letters made of foam and PVC, Gemini Metal Laminate on Acrylic Letters are made of components that do not deteriorate from exposure to the elements and hold up better to pedestrian contact. Each sign letter has excellent edge quality, and the edge returns look good at any distance due to the clean unporous acrylic used by Gemini. Delamination is greatly reduced by the use of acrylic as a substrate, and through Gemini's exclusive edge seal process. Our sign letters are made from materials that are lead and mercury free, and do not contain PVC plastic. Gemini also recycles and extrudes all scrap material.

 

Laminated Foam Letters

Gemini starts with either .030 solid metal aluminum or 1/8" acrylic sheets. After your selected finish or paint has been applied, the sheets are laminated onto Gemini's high density (12 lb/cubic foot) foam. The Bern-Lok™ lamination process is used to adhre the metal or acrylic sheets to the substrate. This process is proprietary to Gemini, using a combination of heat, high pressure, and chemical bonding. Once the sheets are laminated, they are router cut using precision CNC equipment to provide the best mechanical cut possible.
